Eddy Baxter Obituary

"It is with heavy hearts that we say, see you later, to Eddy Baxter, a veteran, husband, father, grandfather, and all-around amazing guy.  Eddy passed away at the age of 76, leaving behind his devoted wife Cheryl, his children, grandchildren, and his feathered friends -his chickens. Eddy was a family man through and through, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his loved ones. He was a loving husband to Cheryl, and together they built a life filled with laughter and love. He was a generous and caring father to his children, and an adoring grandfather to his many grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness and pride. Eddy was a kind, straightforward, and gentle soul with a generous spirit and a contagious sense of humor. He had a way of making everyone around him feel loved and appreciated, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Eddy was a man who loved the simple things in life. He was happiest when he was tending to his garden or out on his tractor, taking care of his land. He had a real green thumb and could grow just about anything, but his pride and joy were his tomatoes. Eddy wasn't just a master gardener. He was also a master at playing with his grandchildren. He would get down on the floor with them and play for hours on end, making them laugh and showing them just how much he loved them. His infectious smile and warm heart made him a favorite among all the grandchildren. Eddy was a veteran who served his country with honor, and he never forgot his fellow soldiers. His sense of duty and his commitment to his fellow man were an inspiration to all who knew him. Though Eddy's passing leaves a hole in the hearts of his loved ones, they find comfort in the memories they shared with him.

Eddy is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Cheryl, as well as his several children. He was the proud father of Anna, Terry, Shawn, Cindy, Tina, Lisa, and Heather, his youngest child. Eddy is also survived by two beloved sisters, Mary Anne and Claudia, who was affectionately known as Shug. In addition to his immediate family, Eddy was a cherished grandfather to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Together, Eddy and Cheryl raised a beautiful family, and their children and grandchildren will carry on his memory and legacy with pride. His family and loved ones will undoubtedly miss Eddy greatly, but they take comfort in the knowledge that he is now reunited with his mother and father in the loving embrace of Jesus. Though he may no longer be with us in body, Eddy's memory will live on through the many lives he touched during his time on earth. Rest in peace, Eddy Baxter. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy of love and kindness will live on forever."
