Doris went to her heavenly home on February 4, 2025, in Keene, TX.
She was born April 20, 1932, to Cecil and Sylvia Major in Venus, TX. Doris married Max Hathcock on January 13, 1948, in Kountze, TX. Doris was a homemaker, and she and Max raised their family in Alvarado, TX. One of Doris’ favorite things to do was enjoy their time dancing with friends. We can only imagine that first dance they had when they got to meet again!
Doris was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne, TX for many years, and later joined Calvary Baptist Church in Grandview, TX.
Her beautiful smile will always be remembered by those who love her.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband Max Hathcock; siblings Juanita Bourque, Evelyn Gauthier, Lois Coleman, Cecil Major, Jr., Ruth Schoenberg, and Roger Major; and great-grandson Chance Goss.
Doris is survived by sons; Jareld Hathcock; Marty Hathcock and wife Angie; and daughter Debra Young and husband Steve; grandchildren T.D. and Samantha Hathcock, and great-granddaughter Taylor Hathcock; Heather and Mark Huff; Melonie and Joe Nichols, and great-grandchildren Reagan and Cody Read, Cory and Presley Bassinger, and Morgan Nichols; Marty and Dallas Hathcock, Jr., and great grandson Aden Hathcock; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Chisholm Trail Memory Care, and Wings Over Texas Hospice for their love and care for their Mom and Mamaw.
