Dennis Fowler Obituary

Dennis Bryant Fowler, 76, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, devotion, and cherished memories.

Born on May 27, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, Dennis was the beloved son of Grady Bryant Fowler and Gladys Mae Spann Fowler. He grew up in Irving, Texas, where he formed the strong values and work ethic that would guide him throughout his life.

At a very young age Dennis married the love of his life, Teresa Elaine Megallon Fowler. Their remarkable union of 63 years, a testament to enduring love, commitment, and partnership. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, and unwavering support for one another.

Dennis worked as a long-haul truck driver, a career that reflected his dedication, resilience, and willingness to provide for those he loved. Though his work often took him far from home, his heart was always with his family. He joined the United States Army in 1968 and served his country with honor. He lived in Venus, Grand Prairie, and Irving, Texas, and was a member of Life Church.

He was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures—sitting on his front porch, sharing stories and laughter with family and friends, watching football games, and enjoying classic Western movies and shows, especially alongside his father-in-law. Those quiet, meaningful moments defined who he was: steady, loving, and deeply connected to those around him.

Dennis was a proud father to Robert “Bobby” Fowler, Kimberly Fowler, Dennis “D.D.” Fowler, Ray Bryant Martin, and Krislyn E. Martin. He was also a devoted grandfather to Thomas Davis II, Madison Fowler, Caroline Fowler, Mason Fowler, and Brayden Fowler, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by many loved ones, including his father-in-law, James O. Center; his mother-in-law, Estelle Center; his parents, Gladys and Grady Fowler; his brothers, Gerald Kane and Phillip Johnson; his brother-in-law, Robert Megallon; and his sisters, Hazel Stacy, Norma Shearin, Kathy Jennings, Lisa Navarro, and Norma Smith.

Dennis is survived by his devoted wife, Teresa E. Fowler of Venus, Texas; his son, Robert B. Fowler of Cypress, Texas, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Fowler, M.D.; his daughter, Kimberly M. Fowler of Alvarado, Texas; and his son, Dennis D. Fowler (D.D.) of Las Vegas, Nevada, and daughter-in-law, Karen Fowler; His children Ray martin and Krislyn Martin.

Dennis Bryant Fowler will be remembered for his quiet strength, his deep love for his family, and the warmth he brought to every life he touched. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
