Dennie Jackson Obituary


Dennie Ray Jackson, 55, died December 22nd, 2022 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Dennie was born in Fort Worth, Tx on December 4th 1967 to Dorothy Jean Jackson and James Wesley Jackson. He leaves behind his mother Jean Jackson. He leaves behind his older sister Brenda Blotz, older brother DeWayne Jackson and younger brother Tony Cornum. He also leaves behind 2 nieces and 5 nephews. Dennie absolutely loved trains whether it was watching them, collecting them or riding on them. One time for his birthday his sister got him the best gift and he was able to not only ride in a train but was also the conductor for the ride. Dennie was also an amazing cook and even attended culinary school. One of his favorite things to do was visit new restaurants so he could try all the different foods. His favorite was Mexican and Italian restaurants and him and his family and friends would go out to dinner often. He also loved trying different and unusual recipes and would teach anyone that would let him. Dennie was in the boy scouts as a kid with his older brother DeWayne and his dad. He loved going on camping trips with the scouts and learning about the great outdoors. Dennie graduated from Mansfield High School in 1986. Dennie went on many mission trips including Honduras, Russian and the Canary Islands. Dennie was a member of the Cleburne Bible Church where he even started his own cancer advocacy group. Dennie was a very friendly, compassionate and loving person and has many friends and family that are going to miss him dearly.
