Deborah Kay Swalah “Davis”

Deborah Kay Swalah “Davis,” beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at the age of 71. She was born on February 13, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Charlie Davis and Wanda Collins.

Deborah grew up in the Johnson County area and was a proud graduate of Alvarado High School. Her bonus father, Brad Collins, played an important and meaningful role in her life and was an integral part of the woman she became.

Throughout her life, Deborah held several different roles, including working in sales and administration. Above all, she was an outstanding homemaker who took pride in caring for her family and creating a loving home. She made her home in Burleson, Texas, where she lived at the time of her passing.

Deborah’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her son, Choya Flinn and wife LeeAnn; daughter, Shannon Flinn and Aldric Evans; and bonus daughters, Mary Shunk and husband Christopher, and Katie Cohn. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brady Flinn, Kadric Evans, Brooke Flinn, Andrew Shunk, and Benjamin Shunk.

She leaves behind her sisters, Alta Moreland and husband Lonnie, Kathy Diffee and husband Ricky, Connie Smith and husband Gary; sister-in-law Penny Davis; brother Raymond Collins and wife Fran; her best friend, Nena Bryant; and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Davis and Wanda Collins and her husband Brad; her sister, Julia Yvette Reavis; her brother, Mike Davis; her niece, Honey Dawn Reavis; and her life partner, Bill Cohn.

Deborah will be remembered for the love she gave to her family, the home she created, and the many lives she touched along the way. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
