Cleo Wyant Lightfoot passed away Thursday, October 6, 2022. She was born
September 28, 1920, to Perry and Myrtle Jennie Jackson Wyant in Kouts, Indiana. She
married Sid Lightfoot, the love of her life, in 1941. Sid preceded her in death in 2002.
They moved to Texas from Chicago in 1952. Cleo was the proud owner of Lightfoot
Realty in Richland Hills, Texas, but her real talent was in writing, and she loved to write
about her family and life. One of her many memoirs, “A Falling Star”, was published by
Barnes and Noble in the book, The Noble Generation. Private graveside services will be
held in Grandview, Texas. Cleo is survived by daughters, Joan Hallford and husband
Joe; and Nancy Patterson. Grandchildren, James D. Patterson, Jr; Amy Letlow; Lisa
Nitsch and husband Ralph; Jonathan Hallford and wife Sara; and Stephanie Holt. Great-
grandchildren, Tara Hunsaker; Melissa Garrett and husband Ryon; Jessica Jackson and
husband Paul; Sydney Letlow; Corbett Nitsch; Jacob Holt; and Noah Holt. Great-Great-
Grandchildren, Hunter Hunsaker; Waylon Garrett; and Rowan Jackson.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 11th at Grandview Cemetery.
