Charlotte Marie (Corley) Rhynes

Charlotte Marie Rhynes peacefully departed this life at the age of 73 on January 7, 2025,
surrounded by her family. Born on March 16, 1951, in Coco Beach, Florida, Charlotte
established strong connections in Semmes, Alabama, where many of her relatives continue to
live. She later relocated to Alvarado, Texas, where she nurtured a loving family and ultimately
retired as a manager at a local dry cleaner.
Charlotte was a beloved figure in the close-knit community of Alvarado, and her absence will be
profoundly felt. She will forever be remembered as an Alvarado Indian. Preceding her in death
were her parents, Norman and Helen Corley, as well as her sister, Sheila Thomas. She is
survived by her daughters, Leslie Schroeder and her husband Justin, Toni Shafer, and Nicole
Shafer, along with her grandchildren that she loved dearly, Kendall, Carson, Reese, and
Sawyer, and her siblings, Ralph, Randy, Paula, and numerous nieces and nephews.
