Charlotte Ann Brannen November 16, 1946 - October 27, 2021 A loving wife for 55 years. Mother of Cody Brannen, Wife of Bill Brannen, Grandmother of Kenzie and Kacie Brannen.
Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Vera Smith and sister Judy Elaine Wilkerson.
Charlotte was a graduate of Poly High School, class of 1965. While working for the Department of Development, at Harris Methodist Health in the 1970’s, Charlotte and Dr. Kupferle raised the initial start-up funding for CareFlite, by which a countless number lives were saved. Charlotte was the Executive Assistant to the Director of Transportation/Public Works for the City of Fort Worth. She was influential in modernizing the administration of the department with computer systems and coordinated openings for many of the streets and bridges throughout Tarrant County. She was also an integral part of the committees and meetings that culminated in the eventual construction of the Chisholm Trail Parkway, which now connects Cleburne to Fort Worth. Charlotte was an entrepreneur. She held a Real Estate license and owned Joshua Tax Service, Hook-Line & Sinker Seafood Restaurant, Willow Bend Ranch and Fort Worth Painting & Decorating; just to mention a few. She loved riding across the ranch to see the new born calves and Appaloosa foals. She would sit in her Hummer and watch her husband Bill, bale hay and help with the hauling. She dearly Loved her Granddaughters and taught them to sew. She was proud of her Son and loved him immensely. If her Husband needed or wanted anything, she would make it a reality. She will lay in rest within the Brannen Plots, Moore Memorial Gardens - Garden of the Last Supper - Arlington , Texas.
