Cassaundra Jo-Anne "Jody" Knotts-Perry

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Cassaundra Jo-Anne “Jody” Knotts-Perry, who left this world on May 25, 2026, at the age of 61, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Born on December 12, 1964, to Lonnie and Bettye Knotts, Jody spent her life radiating a rare and beautiful kindness that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Known to all as “the sweetest girl in the world,” her smile had the power to brighten even the darkest room. Jody lived her life with empathy, gentleness, and an unwavering capacity for love. She loved with her whole heart and never knew a stranger.

Jody grew up in Alvarado, Texas, where she graduated from high school. After graduation, she moved to Fort Worth, where she met and married her husband, Robert Perry Sr. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She will be forever missed by her husband, Robert; her children, Ernestine and Robert Jr.; her six grandchildren; her siblings, Dollynda Lee of Burleson, Texas, Laurel Clark (Dave) of Alvarado, Texas, Cheryl Renaud (Steve) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Lonnie Knotts Jr. of Alvarado, Texas, and Amanda Bogan (Charles) of Alvarado, Texas; along with an extensive circle of extended family, friends, and loved ones who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Strouds Creek Cemetery in Tolar, Texas. Family and friends are welcome to join in sharing stories and celebrating the extraordinary light she brought into this world.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Olympics.
