Buddy Robert Darby

Buddy Robert Darby, 80, of Grandview, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on February 14th, 2025. Buddy was born on August 22nd, 1944,  in Beaumont, Texas, to George and Edna Darby.  He is preceded in death by his parents George Richard Darby, Edna Mae Choate Darby, and sister Teri Darby.  

Buddy is survived by his wife Patricia “Ann” Darby, Daughters Kimberly Taylor (Larry), and Kelly Weier (Russ).  He is also survived by his grandchildren Dustin Taylor, Andrew Taylor (Emily), Jazmine Taylor, Mysti Hernandez (Joel), Hannah Taylor, Daniel Taylor, Twyla Taylor, Brooklyn Weier, Jayden Weier, and his six great grandchildren.  In addition, he is survived by his brother Richard “Dick” Darby (Sue) and sister Sharon Proellochs (Arnold).   

Buddy loved to go hunting and fishing with his best friends Karl, Mike, and Bill.  Buddy loved to ride horses and compete in rodeos when he was younger.  In his spare time, Buddy loved to play golf with anyone who would be willing to go. Buddy will be remembered for helping others when they needed help. He loved to teach his son in laws and grandsons about fixing things around the house, how to take care of your cars, and how to smoke meat in a pit.  He loved to watch and listen to his grandkids sporting events.
