Billy Wayne Welborn

Billy Wayne Welborn passed away on September 12, 2023. He was born on February 20, 1938 in Fort Worth, Texas to John & Hattie Mae Welborn.

He is preceded in death by parents, wife Gail Welborn, In-laws, Elmer Myrtle Leeth, brother -in-law, Dale Leeth, sister-in-law, Wanda Leeth and daughter-in-law, Candy Welborn and eight brothers and sisters.

Billy worked for the city of Fort Worth for 25 years. He liked to camp and spend time with his family at Lake Whitney. Billy and Gail enjoyed potluck dinners at their church and helping the homeless people. He also enjoyed collecting scrap metal.

He is survived by sons, Darrell Irby and wife Loraine, Billy Welborn and Tracy Garvin, daughter Machelle Hay and Gary Hay. Grandchildren: Jocelyn Irby, Chad Hay, Bradly Hay, Cheyenne Hay, William Welborn, Cierra Welborn, and Mackenzie Garvin.  Great Grandchildren: Lukas Hay, Blaze Hay, Skylar Hay, Ryatt Hay, Nolan Nichols, Brooke Williams, Katie Taylor, Hannah Taylor and Kayne Zagorsky. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Dale Leeth, Melissa Leeth, Trey Leeth and Roy Dennis.
