Betty Jo Sommers

Betty Jo Sommers went home to her heavenly family on August 16, 2022. She was a woman full of love for her family and the Lord.

She was born on June 6, 1930, in Oklahoma to Bessie and George Stanford. She had 5 brothers and 4 sisters. She lived a full life and raised two children, Robert Lance Sommers and Nevelyn Jo Rodriguez. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren: Maliah, Stephanie, Richard, and Glenn. A tribe of 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sisters, Vera Alphin and husband Charles, Ruth Jones, her brother Harrold Stanford and Ivy, and sister-in-law Nancy Dehtan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, and the love of her life Robert James Sommers.

Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday August 23, 2022 with a graveside service at 12:30 pm at Auburn Cemetery in Grandview.
