Betty (Womack) Beggs

Betty Jean (Womack) Beggs, 79, of Alvarado, Texas passed away Sunday, June 11,
2023, surrounded by family. Betty was born February 15, 1944, in Navarro County
to Mary Alice Shue and Ocie Merle Womack.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 52 years, Woody
(Leon) Beggs; her sisters Darlene Duncan and Christine Spence and brother James
Womack.
Survivors include daughters, Kellie Cox and husband, Ricky of Grandview, Kristi
Beggs of Alvarado, LaDonna Cobb and husband, James of Longview, Lori Capell
and husband, Billy of Grandview, son Clayton (Pete) Braddock of Alvarado; 13
grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; sister, Mary Dean Stephens of Van Alstyne
and brother Harlan Womack of Gun Barrel City and many other relatives and
friends.

Spending time with her family and friends is something Betty cherished the most.
She enjoyed dancing, shopping, and making trips to the casino. Through stories,
you hear about how tough Betty was, her heart that was as big as Texas, and how
she was considered a protector of many; to know her was to love her.
