LaVerne Stevens

 Laverne Stevens joined her Savior on December 1, 2018. A lifelong homemaker, Laverne was born on April 8, 1938 to Earnest and Robbie Wise in Covington, Texas.

She married J.D. Stevens and they celebrated 34 years of marriage. They raised two children, Mark and Rusty. Lavern was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton Kay Funeral Home, Monday, December 3, 2018 from 6-8 pm.

A graveside will be held in the Pavilion at the Grandview Cemetery on December 4, 2018 at 2 pm with Pastor Philip Garvin officiating.

Laverne is preceded in death by her parents, husband J.D. Stevens, brothers James Wise and George Wise, sisters Francis Mitchell, JoAnne Gahn and Bobbie Jean Harding.
