Frances Naumann Obituary

Frances Ruth Eastwood Naumann, at the age 86 peacefully went home to be with our Savior on October 12th, 2019. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. October 19th at the Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado, TX with visitation Friday evening from 6-8 p.m..

Frances was born at home in Boswell, OK to her mother and father, Lilly Bell and Hirman (Buster) Eastwood on July 25th 1933. Frances was born in to a large family, being the ninth of thirteen children. Frances later moved to Dallas to attend Business School while sharing an apartment with her sisters. That is where she met the love of her life, Terry Lee Naumann. They married on August 22nd 1954 in Boswell, OK.

Frances and Terry raised their two daughters, Renee and Sheri in Euless, TX before moving to Alvarado where the found their forever home. It was there that Frances enjoyed tending her garden, picking peaches from the orchard, brisk morning walks to get the news paper before Terry woke up and quiet evenings on their front porch swing. Frances was the perfect wife to Terry, he never missed a meal because she loved to cook for him.

One of her favorite past times was traveling with her husband and daughters. They enjoyed camping, fishing and long road trips to reach their destination. She continued that love of travel with her grandchildren. She and Terry would often take them on long road trips to camp in the Airstream and visit National Parks.

If Frances wasn't at home tending to her garden or traveling she could be found delivering mail for the United States Postal Service. Out of her many occupations delivering the mail was her favorite job that she eventually retired from after many years of dedication service.

Out of all the things Frances loved throughout life, having her family home for the holidays was her absolute favorite. Even though her family wasn't the largest in size, her meals were. It never failed that every holiday, no matter how hard her family tried, she was always the last to be seated. Family always came first to Frances, she was selfless and always put everyone's needs before her own.

Frances is survived by her daughter Renee and her husband Rick Simmons, daughter Sheri and her husband Bruno Gonzales, grandsons Buddy Gonzales, Casey Gonzales and his wife Sydney. Granddaughters Amber Simmons, Elizabeth Simmons, Tammie Rodriguez and her husband Johnny. Great Grandchildren Macenzie Simmons, Alexandria Simmons, Andrew Simmons, J.P. Rodriguez and Gavin Lay. Siblings Wynema and Bruce as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her devoted husband Terry Naumann, granddaughter Lacie Simmons, siblings Dixie, John, Edrye, Paul, Wayman, Thretha, Lilly Faye and William Edgar.
