Billy Lynn Murdock-Ballinger, 78, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 in Fort Worth, TX.

Visitation: Tuesday July 30, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home, Alvarado, TX.

Funeral: Wednesday July 31, 2019 at 10:30 a.m., First Baptist Church, Alvarado, TX.  Officiated by Wade Taylor, John Valentine and Jimmy Murdock.

Interment: Wednesday July 31, 2019 at 2:30 p.m., Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Billy Lynn was born November 27, 1940 in Fort Worth, TX toWilliam Elton Murdock and Monte Green Murdock. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth, TX.  She married Franklin D Ballinger on March 27, 1964.  Billy Lynn and Frank moved to Alvarado, TX in 1972 where they raised their 2 sons Kip and Chad Ballinger. Billy Lynn worked for Soil Conservation Services and served as the financial secretary for First Baptist Church of Alvarado where she was a church member for over 45 years.  She also served as a bible study leader and taught the young adult bible study classes for many years.  Billy Lynn poured her heart and soul into her family and friends and she never met a stranger.

Billy Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D Ballinger; parents, William Elton Murdock and Monte Green Murdock; siblings, Juanita Brown and Bennie B. Bowman.

Those left to cherish her memory: Son, Franklin Kip Ballinger and his wife Karry Ballinger, son William Chad Ballinger.  Grandchildren, Brandon Ballinger, Kirsty Ballinger, Connor Ballinger.  Great-grandson, Owen Ballinger.  Siblings, Elton Murdock, Jimmy Murdock and his wife Kay Murdock.
